Introduction

One of the many 'anonymous' erotic novels of the Victorian era, and one of the best known. Consisting of three volumes, this book contains over twenty chapters. Each chapter will turn yellow in the list in the lower left menu as it is published.

Charley, a young aristocrat in turn of the century England, and narrator of the story, meets someone dressed as a lad on the road to Portsmouth. Taken by his looks and good manners, he invites "Frank" to come home with him. He quickly discovers that his charge displays an unacceptable lack of obedience and consequently he commences to flog him in the traditional and humiliating English manner. One can only imagine his surprise when the young man turns out to be a young woman with beguiling charms.
