About Nicholas Kane
On the Forum I am NicholasKane and in the Fiction section my nom de plume is Nicholas Kane.
Kane is a character I found myself inspired to invent shortly after reading my first Richard Manton novel over twenty years ago. Not unlike Manton's male leads, he is an absolute cad, a roue, a reprobate, a man of thoroughly moral degeneracy.
This imaginary villain is an Englishman who is a stern disciplinarian employed by an even bigger villain known only as The Sheikh. Kane's exploits spanking young girls span approximately 200 years, although he appears to be about age forty whatever time zone he's wielding his birch in. He's a wanted man in almost every nation on the globe: Interpol wants him; the FBI would like to have a conversation with him; the Mossad has orders to shoot him on sight; etc., etc. His recorded series of adventures, so far, portray him as a pre-Civil War riverboat gambler, a man of leisure in both Victorian and Edwardian eras, as well as a computer age gadfly.
According to Socrates a gadfly stings people and whips them into a fury in the service of truth. Kane fits that depiction, especially the stinging and whipping part. His motto: Kane is his name and cane is his game.
